Transitioning Your Pet

We recommend feeding 2%-3% of your cat’s body weight daily, split between 2-3 meal times per day. This recommendation is based on life stage and energy requirements. For kittens or pregnant/nursing females we recommend 4%-6% of their body weight daily split between 3-4 meal times per day. For senior or weight conscientious cats we recommend 1.5% – 2% of their body weight daily while maintaining 2-3 meal times per day. Some cats may need a slow and steady transition from one brand of food to another. Simply start adding a small amount of raw food to their current food and with each day increase the amount of new raw while decreasing the old food. The length of this process will depend on how sensitive your cat’s digestive system is. Transitioning can take days to weeks.

Safe Handling Instructions

Each mini patty is individually wrapped and sealed to maximize freshness. We recommend storing this product in the freezer until you are ready to serve. Simply pull the seal open at the corner of the wrapping. Once opened, simply pop out the meat. If you thaw the meat before removing it from the wrapper some product may be left on the packaging. Popping it out frozen ensures you don’t waste any product. Some cats prefer to eat frozen food. This creates a nice cool treat in the heat of the summer or a tool to slow down the feeding frenzy. Others prefer to eat the food thawed. The more you thaw to room temperature the softer the product will get. Thawing can take between 5-30 minutes depending on the desired texture and ambient temperature. We recommend keeping this separate from ready-to-eat foods and always wash your hands, bowls, and handling surfaces with hot soapy water after handling and use. This product is made from raw foods. Some raw foods have the potential of containing bacteria that could be harmful to you or the cat you are feeding if mishandled. Whenever you feed anything new it is a good idea to inspect the product and feed under supervision. This product should be consumed entirely with each feeding. What has not been consumed should be stored in the refrigerator until the next feeding. After 24 hours, discard any leftovers.
